The Memphis Acoustic Music Association returns to our origins with a rare house concert…..presenting Redmond O’Colonies
Saturday, Nov 23 at 7:30 pm $20
at the home of Judy Kitts 1662 Carruthers Place 38112
Redmond O’Colonies is a troubadour transported from another time, an itinerant musician, thespian, and jester. You will delight in this British ex-pat’s lightning-tongued comic monologues. The storytelling folk singer transforms his accent from English to Irish to Scottish as readily as he changes musical styles. An accomplished guitarist, he moves fluently from pub sing-alongs and musical parodies to poignant Irish ballads and vintage melodies from the 1920s to the 1940s. By turns irreverent and earnest, bawdy and lyrical, Redmond is a vaudevillian entertainer sure to please!
Space is limited….room for only 30.
We’ll have coffee and tea, but you’re welcome to bring other beverages of your choice. Snacks are welcome and greatly appreciated!
