Rediscovering Running and Getting Back on Track

Welcome to Rediscovering Running and Getting Back on Track! Join us at the Exhibition Gallery @ Visual Arts Centre for an exciting panel discussion on reigniting your passion for running.

Taking time off from running—whether it’s due to injury, burnout, or life’s demands—can make returning feel challenging. Join specialists, physiotherapists and seasoned runners as they explore how to gently ease back into running after a break, the benefits of running as a form of rehabilitation, and how to make running an enjoyable and sustainable part of your lifestyle.

Speaker 5 - Jordan Hamada

Hybrid Athlete and Avid Runner

Jordan began his athletic journey in track & field and cross country, competing in the USATF Junior Olympics Nationals. A serious foot fracture forced him to step away, leading him to explore powerlifting. During COVID, his love for running returned during lockdown. While some strides still carry traces of doubt and the fear of re-injury, he runs with intention, chasing growth over perfection. Today, Jordan focuses on hybrid training, blending strength and endurance through heavy lifts, long-distance runs, and Hyrox.
