Sign up below to try yoga with like-minded runners, walkers and athletes. Studies have shown that yoga squashes stress, aids weight loss, eases pain, helps people stick to an exercise routine, and even improves running times. The strength and flexibility developed on the mat--namely in the core, quads, hamstrings, and hip flexors--can help you run more efficiently and stay injury-free.
THE ONLY THING YOU WILL NEED IS A YOGA MAT!
Meet our instructor Lindsey Melott:
Lindsey has been an avid runner and cyclist for many years and began practicing yoga in 2007. Since then she has obtained her 200 hour RYT certification in Norman, Oklahoma with Andrew Eppler and has completed the Sage Rountree Yoga for Athletes Certification. She is currently in the process of working towards her 500 hour RYT through Yoga Medicine. Her focus is to work mainly with athletes to incorporate yoga into their training in order to enhance their performance and maximize their recovery. Lindsey can be found most weekends at local running and cycling events. Her classes are playful and full of energy. Come prepared to breathe, sweat, smile and have a good time on your mat.
Lindsey also leads yoga classes at This Land Yoga and Soul Yoga in OKC and is available for private and semi-private lessons.
