Description

This year's Red & Black Christmas Gala: A Night in Monte Carlo is guranteed to be one of our largest, well attended, and fun events of the year!

As a volunteer, you will receive a link for REDUCED PRICE ADMISSION for only $20! Tickets are on sale for $30 in advance and $40 at the door - take advantage of this great price and serve with us.

Volunteer shifts are on a first-come, firsrt served basis. If all spaces are full, a waitlist will be established. In order to secure the discounted admission, volunteers must sign-up for a role AND pay for their tickets no later than 11:59pm on December 13, 2017 using a link that will be sent a few days after registration.

The Gala is on Saturday, December 16, 2017. Doors open at 6:15pm, Dinner is served at 7pm, and doors will be closed at 8pm. Our volunteer needs are listed below.

Volunteer Roles:

  • Set-up (2pm-5pm), 2 spaces. This role involves loading/unloading supplies from vehicles, setting up and placing tables in the room, and other duties as assigned. Prior experience is not required, but you must be able to lift 20lbs unassisted, walk up stairs, bend, stoop, and have a full range of motion.

  • Culinary Arts Prep (2-5pm), 1 space. This role involves chopping, displaying, and organizing food and drinks as well as washing/drying/putting away dishes. Prior experience not required.

  • Culinary Arts Service (6-8pm), 3 spaces. This role involves setting up catering displays, serving meals, and washing/drying/putting away dishes. Prior experience not required.

  • Registration Shift 1 (5:30-6:45pm), 2 spaces. This role involves greeting attendees, checking people in, and collecting on-site payments.

  • Registration Shift 2 (6:45-8pm), 2 spaces. This role involves greeting attendees, checking people in, and collecting on-site payments.

  • Photographer (6-9pm), 1 space. This role involves taking photos of the event and attendees, capturing details, and uploading all images for retrieval. These images will be posted on our social media pages. Prior photography experience desired.
