Annual Meeting September 26, SAVE THE DATE!
Reconnect with old friends, meet new ones and enjoy frosty Rogue beer and tasty treats.
Friends and members of Recycling Advocates are invited to our annual meeting and 2013-2014 Reuse and Waste Reduction Campaign kickoff.
On October 1st the City of Portland will implement the next phase of the plastic bag ban in grocery stores. Portland’s innovative food cart culture can also mean increased use of single use containers and bags. Recycling Advocates looks forward to working with cart owners and their customers to help make durable bags as ubiquitous in cart pods as they are at our local grocery stores.
Join us on September 26th to learn about reuse opportunities at food carts and help Recycling Advocates create a successful outreach campaign in the coming year.
Keynote speaker Laura Weiss, former Oregon Environmental Council Program Director and founder/owner of GO Box will describe how she successfully organized a waste reduction project involving cart owners. GO Box is an innovative service providing reusable to-go containers to downtown Portland food vendors and their customers.
