The transformation events series aims to address how we rebuild & strengthen the health of our communities in the wake of COVID-19 pandemic.
About this event
The impact of mental health and substance use disorders is apparent in our local community, over 700,000 people in the Chicago metropolitan are affected by these conditions. Through Recovery Month, people become more aware and able to recognize the signs of mental health and substance use disorders and encourages people in need of recovery services to seek help. Managing the effects of these conditions helps individuals achieve healthy lifestyles, both physically and emotionally.
On September 20, HC3 will host a conversation with local leadership focused on the opportunities and role of recovery in the Chicago health care ecosystem. Co-hosted by HC3 founding member Third Horizon Strategies and Illinois Association For Behavioral Health, this event will highlight the intersection of addiction and recovery with health care by lowering barriers to recovery support, creating inclusive spaces and programs, and broadening our understanding of what recovery means for people with different experiences.
