Event description
On March 22, 2020, we will be hosting our 8th Annual Celebrate Recovery Dinner Dance at The Hamilton Manor in Hamilton, NJ.

About this Event

We are very excited about this event as it truly celebrates those who are in active recovery. It’s a night for our community of police departments, treatment centers, staff, families, sponsors, advocates, supporters and alumni to come together and acknowledge the tremendous efforts made in the fight against addiction.

This year, our fundraising goal is to reach over $100,000. All proceeds from the event will go directly into sustaining and expanding Recovery Advocates C.A.R.E. (Community Addiction Recovery Effort) program and our education/prevention and awareness program throughout all the NJ high schools. We hope that you will support us through a sponsorship or direct financial donation for this year’s event. Your monetary donation will go directly to sustaining and expanding our extremely successful C.A.R.E. program and various client needs. Since starting the Mercer County C.A.R.E. program that is now endorsed by the New Jersey State Attorney General Gurbir Grewal and Mercer County Prosecutor Angelo Onofri, in 2016, Recovery Advocates has expanded its collaboration to include twelve local police departments. Our data concludes that we have been 89% effective in assisting those who have indicated they are looking for help. Of the 11% who refused initially, 5% have contacted us within a week of meeting us for assistance. In many cases, we use our client care fund to cover transport costs, meals for clients, toiletries, overnight fees, medical costs, and clothing. As the number of people seeking help increases, the ability to have access to these programs are crucial to the sustainability of our organization. This year's monetary support will also go to our prevention/education and awareness program throughout the New Jersey high schools. In the past two years we have assembled a team of people in recovery to speak the entire day to all the health classes at the request of the respective Prosecutor's office and Board of Education. We have gotten tremendous positive feedback and had many students reach out to us for help for themselves or a family member. We would greatly appreciate any and all support to help us in our mission in fighting substance use disorder that is classified as a national epidemic.

It’s known that Recovery Advocates of America is a 501(c)3 not for profit peer-to-peer center that strives to provide education around the disease of addiction, to provide tools to sustain recovery through engagement and to reduce the stigma of addiction within our community. Our center is instrumental in providing all people suffering from the disease of addiction a safe haven to get treatment options and support through all stages of their recovery. Addiction is classified as a family disease so in addition to helping the addict, we also provide tools and resources for the family for their own recovery journey.

If you or anyone is interested in our sponsorship packages or have any questions, please email info@recovery-advocates.org or call 888-360-7788 ext 1.
