About this event
This class exists to serve a gap in postpartum care. Do you have questions about urinary leakage? Are you worried you have a prolapse? Are you struggling with returning comfortably to exercise or sex? With a goal of increasing knowledge and confidence in postpartum recovery, we’ll cover types and treatment for incontinence and prolapse, tips for return to intercourse and exercise, and education on scar healing in an online supportive setting with a Q&A portion to answer your pelvic floor questions.
If you can only stay for part of class, don't worry! This class is designed with busy parents in mind! Zoom class is recorded and the link is sent to participants, so you can review class when it works for you, on your own time.
Postpartum women deserve to feel confident and informed about returning to all aspects of their lives. Although COVID-19 limits in person visits, you can still get the care you need. Let’s get there together!
*Please Note: Class times are Pacific Time Zone*

Jessica Abele started Therapy Roo Physical Therapy to improve women's access to pelvic floor PT by providing care in clients’ homes. Jess firmly believes that all women deserve treatment and education to improve pain, incontinence, and strength, and to feel comfortable and confident in their bodies.
After completing an accelerated doctorate program in physical therapy at Boston University in 2010, Jess started her career specializing in neurological hospital-based care, achieving her neuro clinical speciality in 2014. However, when she found pelvic floor PT in early 2016, her life was forever changed. She felt immediately called to meet the needs of this population, motivated by the miraculous nature of recovery women can experience with proper, supportive care.
When not saving the world one vagina at a time, Jess enjoys reading, knitting, cooking, hiking with her husband (in other non-pandemic times), and spending time with her silly cats, Boo & Peter.
