Are you seeking relief from and guidance with your own addiction(s)? Do you want to understand and help family members or friends with addictions? Are you maintaining sobriety and interested in supplementing your recovery program? Are you a yoga lover who would like to gain deeper insight into its benefits? Do you simply wish to deepen your spiritual awareness? Join Kiki Fries, Registered Yoga Teacher & Certified Addictions Professional, for an informative and engaging workshop and supplemental yoga practice. 45 minute lecture addresses fundamental crossovers between yoga and the 12 step fellowship, including ways in which yoga can specifically help with addiction recovery and sobriety maintenance. 30 minute discussion allows attendees to share experiences and ideas about ways in which making \"conscious contact\" through yoga has led to freedom from compulsions. 45 minute gentle practice engages attendees in pranayama (breathing) and asana (postures) instrumental to recovery. *Important! You do not have to be a yoga practitioner nor an addict/ecovering addict in order to join. The material will expand the minds and spirits of all participants. Please bring your own yoga mat and an open mind!*
*Please pre-register as space is limited.*
