About this Event

For decades, Paul Stamets has been one of the most influential voices in the worlds of mycology and psychedelics. His lifelong work of collecting and researching mushrooms has shaped the way we understand the role that fungi play in our global ecosystem—and how they’re being underutilized in everything from our diets to strategies for preserving the biodiversity of the planet. In this 90-minute webinar, Paul will have an open conversation with our community about the sixth major extinction we’re facing on earth, how mushrooms offer some powerful and practical solutions, and how we can all incorporate mushrooms into our own lives, to be the healthiest, happiest versions of ourselves. There will also be ample time for our audience to ask questions directly to Paul.

About Paul Stamets:

Paul Stamets, speaker, author, mycologist, medical researcher and entrepreneur, is considered an intellectual and industry leader in fungi: habitat, medicinal use, and production. He lectures extensively to deepen the understanding and respect for the organisms that literally exist under every footstep taken on this path of life. His presentations cover a range of mushroom species and research showing how mushrooms can help the health of people and planet. His central premise is that habitats have immune systems, just like people, and mushrooms are cellular bridges between the two. Our close evolutionary relationship to fungi can be the basis for novel pairings in the microbiome that lead to greater sustainability and immune enhancement.
