About this event

While our facility is closed to the public, we still want to provide our community with the resources to continue recycling and composting properly, and support individuals in making choices that protect and preserve our fragile planet. During this webinar, you will learn about the history of Recology, the innovative programs we have put in place with the city of San Francisco, how Recology is improving the sorting process for recycling while maintaining a focus on reducing and reusing, and what individual actions you can take to create an impactful change.

Organizer The Recology Artist in Residence and Educational Tour Program

Organizer of Recology Webinar: Reduce, Reuse, Recycle

The Artist in Residence (AIR) Program at Recology San Francisco is a unique art and education program that provides Bay Area artists with access to discarded materials, a stipend, and a large studio space at the Recology San Francisco Transfer Station. By supporting artists who work with recycled materials, Recology hopes to encourage people to conserve natural resources and promote new ways of thinking about art and the environment.

Over 4000 children and adults visit the San Francisco Transfer Station and Recycle Central annually through the Recology Tour Program. Residents learn the importance of resource recovery and how their actions can impact the environment.
