Description

Please join us for our Annual Domestic Violence Awareness Event- A event organized by the San Francisco District Attorney's Office Victim Services Division.

October is Domestic Violence Awareness month and this year’s theme is “Reclaiming the Power” through safety and prevention. It is our hope to reach underserved communities and provide information to help empower them as they navigate the legal system and the community.

Our symposium will include:

Keynote Speakers:

  • Delia Ginorio, Director of SF Sheriff's Department Survivor Restoration Program

  • Ayesha Louis, Daughter of the late Pearla Louis

Breakout session presenters:

  • Community United Aganist Violence [CUAV]: LGBTQI & Domestic Violence

  • Bay Area Legal Aid: Legal assistance for Domestic Violence Survivors with immigration concerns

  • DeafHope: Services for Domestic Violence Survivors who are deaf & hard of hearing (ASL interpreters provided)

Spoken Word:

  • "Hidden Bruises" Performed by Colored Ink
