Event description
Join Dr. Bianca J. Baldridge and Dr. Paul J. Kuttner's discussion of Reclaiming Community: Race and the Uncertain Future of Youth Work.

About this Event

We would like to invite you to attend Teachers College Record 's inaugural book talk. As part of the journal’s participatory approach to education, we bring together the academic community, youth, parents, practitioners, and community members. Our book talk will spotlight Reclaiming Community: Race and the Uncertain Future of Youth Work by Dr. Bianca J. Baldridge (University of Wisconsin-Madison).

In April, Dr. Paul J. Kuttner (University of Utah) reviewed Dr. Baldridge's book for Teachers College Record. In an effort to further the educational conversation on another level, we have invited both Dr. Baldridge and Dr. Kuttner to engage in a discussion.

Dr. Baldridge will walk through the main arguments of the book, share her process of writing, and highlight the book's relevance in the current sociopolitical landscape. Dr. Kuttner will share highlights of his book review and pose lingering questions to Dr. Baldridge.

Contribute to the dialogue by tweeting your questions to @TCRecord before and during the talk. We encourage you to RSVP to this event, as there is an attendee limit.

A Zoom link will be shared before the book talk.
