Learn how to make your own seasonings such as sofrito, sazon, and recao, and avoid the store-bought versions that are filled with high amounts of sodium, preservatives, sugar, artificial fats, and unhealthy oils. This workshop will include a hands-on cooking demonstration and tasting for all ages. We will use and celebrate what we plant in community gardens and supplement from a local farmers market.

Aprenda a preparar sus propios condimentos, comosofrito, sazonador y recao para evitar las versiones de las tiendas que contienen grandes cantidades de sodio, conservantes, azúcar, grasas artificiales y aceites poco saludables. El taller incluirá una demostración práctica de cocina y una degustación en el contexto de una experiencia didáctica para todas las edades. Usaremos y celebraremos lo que plantamos en los jardines comunitarios y lo complementaremos de un mercado local de productores.
