Description

Join MHPN for this workshop to equip realtors & real estate professionals with tools to help market and sell older homes. Learn how to communicate the value of owning a historic property to your clientele.

The course offers 2 hours of elective continuing education credit and will cover the following topics:

  • DIFFERENT TYPES OF HISTORIC DESIGNATION
  • HISTORIC DISTRICTS AND PROPERTY VALUES
  • CURRENT MARKET TRENDS
  • IDENTIFYING HISTORIC ARCHITECTURAL STYLES
  • RESEARCHING HISTORIC INFO
  • MARKETING HISTORIC BUILDINGS

The purpose of this class is to provide real estate professionals the necessary information to promote sales of historic properties; and to encourage historic preservation by cultivating a discussion of the many advantages of owning a historic home by highlighting aesthetic qualities as well as the economic and environmental benefits associated with ownership.

This workshop is sponsored by the Michigan State Housing and Development Authority and the State Historic Preservation Office.
