Howard University Alumni Club of Greater Seattle is partnering with Seattle Central College to host Real Talk: HBCU 101, which is a quarterly event that focuses on providing valuable information to students looking to be admitted into 4-year colleges/universities. Although Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) were created as the only avenue for African Americans to advance their education, students of all races and ethnicities have always been accepted to these institutions. The purpose of this event is to address the lack of information and support available to students in the Pacific Northwest. All are invited to engage alumni from HBCUs
