Event description

Description

The peaceful transfer of power from one president to the next is a hallmark of American democracy. But under the surface, the transition is rushed and chaotic, and can result in a new administration being unprepared to respond to a national or international emergency. Please join the Partnership for Public Service and GW's Graduate School of Political Management for an overview of the Presidential Transition, and how you can get involved. We will also host a panel discussion and Q&A around promoting greater diversity in the federal hiring process, and the make up of Presidential Transition Teams.

Panelists:

David Eagles, Director, The Center For Presidential Transition, The Partnership for Public Service

Spencer Overton, GW Law Professor, Former General Counsel, Obama Transition Team

*Light Refreshments will be provided*

Please RSVP. If you have any questions, contact Jonathan McGee at JJM134@gwu.edu or 773-892-4138
