Reading comprehension for parents

This course is designed to help you support your child with their reading comprehension. It's suitable for parents of children aged 4-11. We'll cover:
- An overview of the importance of reading comprehension within school and beyond, including age related expectations.
- Creating the right context for your child's reading (advice on books, strategies to help them become engaged, allowing them the opportunity to achieve).
- We'll look at the reading process and what effective readers do. We can look at tips for analyse what your child might struggle with specifically.
- Finally, we'll use this knowledge to inform us of what strategies we can best use to support your child with their comprehension.
