Event description

Description

What do I need to know about reading to help me understand the reading process? What are some strategies I can use at home to help my child become a more confident reader? What if my child dislikes reading? How does dyslexia affect my child’s ability to read? How do I help him/her learn to love reading? Have you ever asked these questions as a parent? Are you a therapist who needs ideas to help your student’s parents at home? Kim Arthur, Certified Academic Language Therapist in private practice in McKinney, and former public school Dyslexia teacher for 17 years, will share her insights and knowledge about the reading process and offer specific strategies for reading at home with your child. Her passion is helping students achieve success in reading through multi-sensory strategies.

This event is free and open to the public.

1.5 CEUs are available for $5.
