Event description

Description

This dramatic reading, with period music is presented by the Phantom Collective. Adapted by June Sawyers and based on Ernest Hemingway’s classic A Moveable Feast along with excerpts from his collection of letters, it captures the essence of Hemingway’s experience in Paris while also including elements from his Oak Park upbringing. Parisian-themed dinner and drinks will be available to purchase prior to the show; doors open at 5 pm

This event is being presented in cooperation by Ernest Hemingway Foundation of Oak Park, The Phantom Collective, the Chicago Literary Hall of Fame, and Hamburger Mary's/Oak Park Brewing Company.

Partly inspired by pub theatre, The Phantom Collective is a grassroots DIY group that occasionally sponsors programs of music and theatre pieces—mostly but not exclusively from the North American and Anglo-Celtic-Nordic traditions— at various venues around town.

The Chicago Literary Hall of Fame mission is to honor and preserve Chicago’s great literary heritage more information can be found at https://chicagoliteraryhof.org
