Description

Hello Everyone,

We’re super excited to launch our very first event at the GoDaddy San Francisco office.

At GoDaddy, we want a team as diverse as our customers because we believe diverse teams build better products and make for a better place for us all to work. Which is why we are inviting you to our very first All About Web meetup!

We are going to have a few speakers including guests from EMEA region to share their experience with highly overloaded applications and projects and frameworks they used to improve it

1) Chris Abrams (GoDaddy): "Developing and Testing Dynamic Imports with React & Next.js"

Bio: Former NASA lead software architect, Chris co-organizes the largest JavaScript conference in NYC. He also mentors young technologists on software architecture. He is one of those rare developers that not only has a deep understanding of code, but a strong command of the business side as well. By day, Chris Abrams helps drive the UX platform at GoDaddy and at night he is working on his masters in business from Harvard. Chris has been a front-end engineer for eleven years and he enjoys building out applications and libraries which focus on UX performance. He also coaches startups on hiring & retention.

2) Bill Heberer (GoDaddy): "React as a state management solution"

Bio: Hailing from the University of Maryland College Park, Bill has been with GoDaddy since his internship in 2018. A skilled developer, Bill has worked on everything from Front End React development to web and mobile applications.

3) Tobias Harison-Denby (GoDaddy EMEA): "Using Backstop.js to catch visual regressions"
Bio: A brilliant developer whose skill and dedication are without equal. When he first started at GoDaddy, he picked up the code base and started pushing our new features. His attitude and positive demeanor makes the work day delightful.

4) Jack Ellis (GoDaddy EMEA): "Real World Performance Techniques"

Bio: The lead front end developer for the EMEA PEX team, Jack specializes in the fabric/business logic side of our codebase: redux, observables, side effects, etc. He has been with GoDaddy for a little over 2 years but got into software development by accident about 7 years ago.
