Description

Re-imagining professional learning in the Irish Context

A space for critical conversations around professional development and learning

IPDA Ireland is hosting its first seminar on February 20th, 2019 to re-imagine ways to support teachers, teacher educators and all who are interested in professional learning. For this first event there will be three very short presentations.

  • Teacher professional learning for inclusion presented by Madeline Hickey, Practice Development within the National Council for Special Education

  • Investigating the conditions necessary for effective professional learning networks presented by Dr Martin Brown, School of Policy and Practice, DCU

  • How best can we plan PD interventions in order to maximise the chance that learning would be applied? Dr. Shivaun O’Brien, School of Policy and Practice, DCU

Presentations will be followed by lots of collaborative conversations and dialogue over coffee to enhance our understanding and practice.
