Event Details

Breakfast presentation and discussion about developing a new narrative around the process of aging in our society, the roles and contributions of older Americans, and how to use communications and outreach to drive a more informed conversation.

John Beilenson, President of Strategic Communications and Planning (SCP), a socially responsible consulting firm with particular expertise in aging.

This is the fifth in a series of conversations about the longevity revolution, its potential for driving positive change in our society, and what we as practitioners and organizations can do to support this change.

Building on our 2016 convening that presented the Frameworks Institute report "Gauging Aging," this convening will feature new resources developed by the Frameworks Institute, including: "Gaining Momentum: A Communications Toolkit" and "Framing Strategies to Advance Aging and Address Ageism as Policy Issues."

Join us as we learn what our colleagues at the national level are doing that aligns with our efforts in New York City aimed at changing the dominant narrative and practice for aging from one focused on decline and growing needs to one built upon the assets, strengths, and resiliency of people over age 60.
