This immersive, three-hour event is being put on by the Human Rights Center and OurJourney, a North Carolina nonprofit founded by formerly incarcerated people. We are in partnership with the Local Re-Entry Council, as well. Attendees will essentially play a "role-playing game," in which they adopt the persona of a recently released prisoner, and learn how hard it is to navigate the world. There will be time at the end for sharing, as well as a short talk from a recently incarcerated person.

This is a great chance to learn more about the systems we have in this state, as well as to meet like-minded people who care about prison reform.

We welcome all attendees, and you do not have to be a Duke affiliate! Just please make sure that we know that you're coming, and whether or not you need parking (we will email you a pass).
