R.D. King is an award-winning composer and performer of instrumental acoustic guitar music. Captivating and energetic on stage, he blends traditional fingerstyle techniques with guitar pyrotechnics to create cinematic and evocative music. King has placed in numerous competitions for songwriting and performance, including as the winner of the 2017 Canadian Guitar Festival’s International Fingerstyle Guitar Competition and as a finalist for the 2023 International Acoustic Music Awards (Instrumental Category). He draws inspiration from his educational work as a UMass Boston Associate Lecturer, JamPlay.com instructor, and TEDx Cambridge performer. Tonight, King performs work from his latest solo guitar project Songs of Spring, the triumphant final installment in the Seasons tetralogy.

Multi-media artist/musician Walter Rodriguez delights and soothes audiences with his unique fusion of contemporary songwriting and classical guitar techniques creating transcendental musical experiences. First prize winner of the Boston Conservatory Classical Guitar Competition, Walter's songs and instrumental compositions traverse alternative acoustic, classical, and film-music genres and have been used as accompaniment in a variety of commercials, movies (“Shades of Ray” starring Zachary Levi), and MTV network specials. His various music/art projects include an alternative acoustic folk quartet (Walter & the Night Owls), a field recording project of soundscapes, and an upcoming new project exploring instrumental sounds immersed in natural spaces.

Joining Walter tonight, Masami Rodriguez is a violinist and music educator. She has performed in 20-plus countries and has worked on a wide variety of projects with the New England Conservatory of Music, Berklee College of Music, and local bands. She is currently a strings teacher in the Acton/Boxborough elementary schools and a course editor at Berklee College of Music.
