RCT Climate Action Network Meeting - Building Community Resilience
Overview
RCT Climate Action Network Meeting - Climate Resilient Communities
Join us for a collaborative and inspiring day exploring how communities across Rhondda Cynon Taf can build resilience in the face of climate change. Hosted by the RCT Climate Action Network in partnership with Natural Resources Wales and the Cwm Taf Morgannwg Public Services Board (CTM PSB), this event will bring together organisations, community groups, and sector representatives to share knowledge, celebrate achievements and shape future action.
Morning Session: Building Resilient Communities
Our morning session will focus on community resilience and feature an interactive workshop facilitated by Cwmpas. You, the experts working within your communities, will be invited to share your honest thoughts and experiences.
Together, we’ll:
- Celebrate the projects and initiatives already making a difference.
- Share knowledge, ideas and practical approaches.
- Identify existing gaps and barriers.
- Discuss what support is needed to achieve future ambitions.
Linking directly to the CTM Climate Change Risk Assessment, these discussions will guide our collective focus going forward and help inform the work of Natural Resources Wales and the Cwm Taf Morgannwg Public Services Board.
Lunch and Networking
A freshly prepared lunch will be provided, with both vegetarian and vegan options.
Afternoon Session: Inspiration and Collaboration
The afternoon will include a series of guest speakers introducing exciting new opportunities and initiatives. We’ll also invite members and attendees to share updates on the work they’re currently involved in, sparking new ideas for collaboration and future action.
There will be plenty of opportunities for networking and informal discussions and attendees are encouraged to bring along any resources, leaflets, or materials they’d like to share, a dedicated leaflet table will be available throughout the day.
