Event description

Description

Postdocs at the University of Maryland must receive responsible conduct of research (RCR) whether you are funded by NIH or another funding source. RCR training will now occur in a new series covering 10 different topics. These subjects will be discussed particularly as they relate to the training and experience of the postdoctoral fellows. Each session will be led by faculty and campus experts in the topics and will also involve small group discussions of relevant cases.

Each session of the class will be offered twice per month for 10 months. Postdoctoral fellows who complete every session will receive a letter certifying completion of the course. Credit will be given for attendance at each session and participation in the small group case study discussion. Additionally, let Renee Cockerham (rcockerham@som.umaryland.edu) know if you would like to be a small group facilitator which you can add to your CV.

In November, the topic of Conflict of Interest will be discussed and presented by Dr. Scott Thompson. TheThursday November 21st session will take place in MSTF Atrium from 2-4:00pm. Please let Renee know if you have any questions.
