East Village is San Diego’s largest downtown neighborhood encompassing 130 blocks, between Seventh Ave to 17th street. More than 700+ businesses are located in the thriving urban enclave including: restaurants, hotels, art galleries, micro-breweries, San Diego Central Library and PETCO Park, home of the San Diego Padres.  Several educational institutions make upthe “educational corridor” to include the  NewSchool of Architecture and Design, Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising, San Diego City College, EV Middle High School College, Urban Discovery Academy, and e3 Civic High. The East Village community currently has a population of 15,000+ residents and is expected to triple within the next decade.  Continuing urban development includes the first installation of the Downtown Mobility Plan protected bike lanes, 14th Street Promenade build-out,the upcoming groundbreaking of the 4.2 acre East Village Green park, and the steady growth of new businesses, all contributing tothe diverse and vibrant EVolving Community.  East Village, a unique mix of arts, culture, education, and entertainment, is managed by the nonprofit 501c3 East Village Association, Inc. (EVA).
