Puddle Of Mudd is an American post- grunge band from Kansas City, Missouri. The band has sold over 7 million albums and has a string of No.1 mainstream rock singles in the US. Their major label debut Come Clean has sold over five million copies.

Ask Puddle of Mudd frontman Wes Scantlin about the writing and recording of the album Volume 4: Songs in the Key of Love & Hate, and he responds with the same spirit of carefree wanderlust that defines his band: "It's all easy peezy, dude, no big deal at all..."

Not to him, maybe. Wes Scantlin is custom-made for the new millennium, a rock star without the pretense, and a frontman whose spontaneity propels his offstage personality as much as it does his onstage delivery. "Wes is constantly adjusting to the vibe in the room, throwing his flavor in there and constantly trying to make people laugh," explains bassist Doug Ardito. "He doesn't do the David Lee Roth thing, where he delivers the same lines every night, he's completely off-the-cuff."

On Volume 4, Scantlin does deliver the same savvy lyrics that fans have come to expect since the band's multi-platinum debut, Come Clean, weaving subtle innuendo and not-so-subtle lyrical wordplay around vocal hooks so thick, they even seem to make life's more sour realities easier to swallow. Case in point, "Psycho," the smash single from the band's 2007 release Famous that rationalizes a relationship with, 'maybe I'm the one, who is, a schizophrenic psycho.'

Famous, like both albums before it, was certified Gold after selling more than 500,000 copies in America alone. Propelled by "Psycho," the album cemented Puddle of Mudd's status as bona-fide hit makers, and earned them industry accolades including Billboard's No. 1 Mainstream Rock Song of 2008 and No. 2 Rock Band of the Year, where they finished second only to the Foo Fighters. Keeping in that tradition, the new album goes down like the smoothest shot you'll ever take. No chaser required - unless, like Scantlin and guitarist Paul Phillips, you opt for a cold, frosty one.

Volume 4 is a homecoming for Phillips, who left the band shortly into the recording process for Famous. Despite the success of "Psycho," something was missing, and when Phillips and Scantlin reconnected earlier this year, all the prior tension had melted away and their chemistry was rediscovered.

Early Years (1992-2000)

Puddle Of Mudd was formed September 13, 1991 by Wes Scantlin (vocals/ rhythm guitar). According to Wes, the band name was inspired by practicing next to the Missouri River levy which always inundated the band’s practice space but never ruined their equipment because they were on the second floor. Their first album, Stuck, was released in 1994 on V&R Records; it spawned two radio singles.

2001- Now

In September 2014, the band released the non- album single “Piece of the Action”.

In July 2015 band announced that they were recording their sixth studio abum

Since 2008, Saving Abel has embodied the definition of “Southern Rock.” Even before their self-titled debut LP, they were barnstorming the country making fans everywhere they went, just by being themselves: Simple down home, charming, country-boys with immeasurable talent that was destined to take them straight o the top. The band was signed by A&R wizard Jason Flom to Capitol records and their first single, “Addicted” did just that, reaching number one on several charts and the follow-up singles, “18 Days” and “Drowning” helped sell over 750,000 copies of their debut album. They toured heavily in support of this album, playing with Buckcherry and Avenged Sevenfold, and later on Nickelback, in arenas across North America. Night after night, the boys would go back to the bus with their ears ringing from 15,000 fans screaming their lyrics.

Knowing that they would need something great to follow up with, the boys set out to write their sophomore album on Capitol, Miss America. Topping the Active Rock and Hard Rock charts yet again with “Sex is Good” and “Stupid Girl” solidified Saving Abel’s place both on the radio and live. Setting out on their own tour this time, Saving Abel headlined theaters around the country for almost 2 years non-stop. They toured with several artists and made a lot of friends along the way, but always kept their focus on the fans, and their eyes toward the future.

Awards include: Platinum Artist, Numerous BMI & ASCAP Song Writer Awards

Tantric

Tantric is an American rock band from Louisville, Kentucky, United States. The group was founded in 1999 by former Days of the New members Todd Whitener, Jesse Vest and Matt Taul (now all no longer with the band), and Hugo Ferreira. Altogether Tantric has released six studio albums and one EP Tantric (2001), After We Go (2004), The End Begins (2008), Broken Down...Live in the Poconos (2008), Mind Control (2009), 37 Channels (2013) and Blue Room Archives (2014).

Tantric released their latest album Blue Room Archives, on September 30, 2014, the band is currently working on a new album called "Teather".

Tantric is often categorized as post-grunge and is known for its emphasis on acoustic guitar, distorted electric guitar, and multi-layered vocal harmonies. However, due to their heaviness, the band also fit in well during the early 2000s peak of alternative and nu metal. In their early career, Tantric was frequently compared to Days of the New, from which its original guitarist, bassist, and drummer derived. However, the group also gained strong comparison—and in some cases, criticism—to grunge forerunners Alice in Chains. This is by no means coincidence; famed record producer Toby Wright, who handled Tantric's first three albums, also produced two Alice in Chains albums as well as the solo debut of their principal songwriter, Jerry Cantrell. Wright is known for emphasizing multi-tracked vocal harmonies and other characteristics demonstrated in both bands.

However, since the departure of all but Tantric's vocalist from the original lineup, as well as the inclusion of electric violinist Marcus Ratzenboeck, the band's musical approach has evolved. Songs predating Ratzenboeck's inclusion in Tantric have since been performed live with violin, and the altered backing band has provided a shift in musical direction.
