RAW | WRITING — THE ACTORS WRITE

Actors: Meet Your Breakthrough.

Face it: The perfect role almost never just "shows up." There comes a time to tap your own talent and launch the vehicle that takes you where you want to go.

It worked for Matt Damon (Good Will Hunting)... and Phoebe Waller-Bridge (Fleabag)... and Amy Schumer (Trainwreck)... and John Krasinksi (A Quiet Place)... and Kristen Wiig (Bridesmaids)... and Sylvester Stallone (Rocky)... among many, many others— so why not you?

THE ACTORS WRITE turns actors into their own best writers, giving them the tools to create ideal roles — and projects — for themselves. Over the course of seven weeks, the intensive takes you through the process of discovering, then building, your perfect character — and from there, custom-fitting the ideal vehicle around it.

Exercises and techniques. Voice-finding and story-crafting. In an intimate, exclusive class setting, you'll take clear and achievable steps toward reaching that next level of creativity — and control. And, in week seven, you'll perform your work — monologue, scene, or perfected pitch — for an invited audience.

WHAT IT IS...

Exploration. Exercises. Action plans. Each week builds on the next.

Learn the craft. Create the project. Show the work.

WEEK ONE: THE ROLE

Explore what will make your perfect role. How do you go about custom-building it?

WEEK TWO: THE REALM

Discover the kind of world this role inhabits. What kind of project expresses it best?

WEEK THREE: THE TALE

Learn how to find dramatic shape for this role. What's your character's journey?

WEEK FOUR: THE VOICE

Give voice to your character — with monologue and scene-work. How does your character sound out loud?

WEEK FIVE: THE ACTION

Hone writing tools. How does inner journey become outer story?

WEEK SIX: THE PITCH

Develop your "pitch" game. What defines and propels the core of the story you've been building?

WEEK SEVEN: THE SHOW

Perform your work — monologue, scene, perfected pitch — for an invited audience. You're ready now.

Derived from an exclusive RAW Seminar and led by special guest instructor Evan M. Wiener and RAW founder Guy Camilleri, THE ACTORS WRITE gets you rethinking — and reengaging — your approach to professional satisfaction. You'll walk away with the story only you can tell, driven by the part only you can play.

The Actors Write motto:

"Trust what you've got. Demystify the rest."
