Tallinn old town is a UNESCO world heritage site. The medieval structures and buildings of Tallinn were not damaged by World Wars. The beautiful historic city west of Baltic Sea is the capital of Estonia, (a member of the European Union) considered to be one of the least religious countries in Europe. Estonians are proud of their unbelief. According to the census of 2000, only 29% of the total population consider themselves as adherents of some religion. Eurobarometer poll in 2005 found that only 16% of the Estonian population believed in any god. With this number, Estonia is at the top of the list of non-belief in god or religion.
Conference Centre Viru is at the heart of Tallinn city, very near to the Port and the UNESCO heritage site Old Town. A wide variety of accommodation is available in Tallinn. After registration, delegates have to book their accommodation by themselves either at the Conference Hotel Viru or any other place of their choice. At hotel Viru, delegates of Rationalist International Conference will get special rates. For advice on this, please mail to info@RationalistConference.com. If you need any assistance to find accommodation in Tallinn, please write to us well in advance.
