Overview

A new play. A love-letter to Brighton, an ode to parenthood, and a meditation on holding everything together while completely falling apart.

Haunted since childhood by the memory of a tragic shuttle disaster, a Brighton mother contemplates the gentle catastrophe of her own unfolding life.

As she tends to her well-worn routine of work and parenthood, strange things start to happen and she begins to doubt her ability to explain her own decisions.

rapid unscheduled disassembly is an intimate and poetic new play that asks how it’s possible to live with purpose when even the most solid parts of your life might fall apart at any moment.

Previous work by the same creative team includes papercut– ("Astonishing; Hutchinson turns in a bravura performance," FringeGuru). This exclusive premiere performance at The Actors marks Thrust's return to Brighton following previous productions Dinner ("A great showcase of young talent," The Argus) and Request Programme (Ike Award Winner 2015 for Outstanding Theatre).
