About the Transformations events

How did major transformations in energy, food, finance and transport happen in the past? What can we learn from past transformations to help us tackle climate change, unsustainability and global inequality today? How do we decide together what kind of changes are desirable or possible, and how should citizens, activists, experts, governments and organisations approach them?

In 2016-17, a series of Transformations events, hosted by the New Weather Institute and the ESRC STEPS Centre, aimed to change the conversation about transition and transformation in the UK and beyond. Featuring speakers from the series, this event will share our learning so far and open up a discussion on next steps for positive action.
