Description

The ReSkilling of Our Communities - RAPID Adaption by Commnities, the Workforce and Government Requires A New Type of Resiliency Training. Adaption (AQ) is now more important than IQ and emotional intelligence (EQ).

REGISTRATION OPEN for this online accredited course. Choose ONE: December 13, January 10, February 14, or March 13, 2020. Each online Leadership Development class includes an optional Rapid Adaption LAB. Your choice of three (3) LABS. Sign-up now. Class size limited.

Civic Leadership 202: 10TRAITS Level II Leadership Development is a 10-module (32-hour) self-paced leadership course that includes personal mentorship custom-fit to your needs and your choice of one of three (3) LABS.

Your three Adaptive Learning LAB choices include:

(1) Neighborhood Team-Building;

(2) Youth Activation through a Home Energy Challenge

(3) Health.and Nutrition.

(1) Neigborhood Team-Building LAB 201E - BE a Trained Facilitator. IS IT possible for leaders and citizens of a city, county, state or bio-region to align around a common vision of sustainability - in only one day - in order to imagine a stable, livable world that is achievable by 2030.

Based on the original Energy Futures Workshop that was organizaed by Alexia Parks and has been run in small, medium and large cities including: Des Moines, Iowa, Boulder, Colorado and the mountain town of Nederland, CO, - and presented to the USMayors.org at their annual winter meeting - this course is designed for citizens, students families, and professionals interested in reducing local energy consumption in their community.

Registration is now open for the the November 11, or December 20th online, self-paced Leadership training and LAB that includes mentorship. The workbook for the course is: Planning an Energy Futures Conference for Your Community. Participants will work with mentors to develop a local workshop custom-fit to their community's specific needs. Goverment, community or corporate CSR funded, each class size is limited to 8-10 per session.

(2) Youth Activation 200E Youth Engagement program is designed for engaging 5th and 6th grade elementary students in a Home Energy Challenge that includes a 21-Question Survey. The program and curriculum will engage Elementary students who are interested in becoming Future Green Leaders in their own community. This Home Energy Challenge includes data collection that helps County Sustainability Staff discover and close GAPS in energy resilience for residents. GAPS may include countywide purchase of energy efficient products including: furnaces, insulation and solar panels to meet local energy needs.

(3) Optimum Health and Mental Wellbeing Through Nutrition. This anti-inflamatory meal planning and food LAB includes a 21-Day Challenge. Choose this LAB if you are concerned about family health issues or if you are seeking better nutrition for your family. 23INGREDIENTS, Fine Dining on $5-A-Day by Alexia Parks is the workbook for this civic leadership LAB.
