Event description

Description

The goal of this conference is to provide a forum for researchers and academics to interact with practitioners, policymakers and entrepreneurs as we learn together to unlock the potential of one of the most disruptive innovations in decades. It is our hope that entrepreneurs will walk away from this conference with a better understanding of the power and limitations of blockchain technology, as well as ideas for implementation in new and existing regional industries. It is also imperative that policymakers and regulators understand the reach of government policy and the ways in which blockchain will change the global, national and regional economy. Finally, researchers will benefit from being exposed to the innovative process and the practical aspects of implementation. Overall, we endeavor to enhance the vitality of the North Dakota economy by spurring innovation and diversity in the economy.

You are also invited to join us for a preview event on Friday, Oct. 26. Dr. Edward Stringham will be presenting a Capitalism and Society lecture titled "Private Enforcement of Contracts: from eBay to Blockchain." This event is free and open to the public. The lecture will begin at 5:30 p.m. in the AgCountry Auditorium at Barry Hall (811 2nd Ave N, Fargo).
