Ranching 101: What Resource Professionals Need to Know to Work Effectively with Ranchers

Join the Alameda County Conservation Partnership and U.C. Cooperative Extension for a workshop led by experienced ranchers and designed for land managers and natural resource professionals who work with, or want to work with, ranchers and grazing tenants in the Bay Area.

Attendees will:

Learn about the calendar of activities for a typical Bay Area ranching operation, and how resource management recommendations and requirements affect these activities.

View a working ranching operation, and gain insight into the wide breadth of daily tasks undertaken by ranchers and grazing tenants.

Brush up on ranching vocabulary, and learn more about available resources to help you more effectively communicate, understand, and work with ranchers and grazing tenants.

Registration for this event is FREE, however, you must still acquire a ticket for the workshop in order to be officially registered. If you would like the workshop organizers to provide lunch for you, please ALSO purchase a "Lunch" ticket for $15.
