We are looking for a team to build a Comfort Station and learn Natural Building Methods. This Comfort Station is a Bathhouse in a greenhouse setting built of Rammed Earth, Metal and Glass. This comfort station will benefit the Harmony & Health Foundation to improve the quality of comfort for those who stay in the community. The building will consist of two composting toilets, a shower, laundry and a utility sink which will feed greywater to the surrounding landscape. This community project is a great opportunity to learn new building skills, make new friends, broaden a resume and make new business connections. Participants will be mixing and tamping rammed earth walls and proceeds from ticket sales will go directly towards building materials. Workshop hours are 9am-2pm each day. Please wear closed-toed shoes and bring sunscreen, hat, water bottle and NO DOGS please. Water and snacks are provided during the build and camping facilities are available. Come for a day or all 4 days. Become part of the growing Natural Building Community with this amazing opportunity and learn what you can do to lower our collective carbon footprint.
