What is This?
A ramen and craft ale dinner on Wednesday, December 14. There are 2 seatings - 6 and 8 PM. Tickets are $30 (plus Eventbrite fees) per person. Includes appetizers, ramen, dessert and 3 craft ales. Additional beer and ale available for purchase. Limit of 4 tickets per transaction.
We're back with ramen and craft ale for the third and final time of 2016, Back in September, Rob and Keely from Woodland Empire, Jason from Manfred’s and Dave (marketing guy and unofficial taste-tester for Snake River Farms) decided to host a little dinner with ramen and craft ale. It was a huge success! So much so, that we all had another pop-up in November. That one sold out in 18 minutes. There was only one thing to do – put together one more pop-up before the year comes to an end.
We’ll be doing things the same way, but we'll be adding changes and tweaks based on the seasonality of foods and whatever strikes our culinary fancy. On the ramen side, we’re not changing a thing. We’ll start with a rich ramen broth made with Snake River Farms Kurobuta pork and the best chicken we can find. Kurobuta is a heritage breed and is used and featured by some of the world's best ramen houses. Each bowl of noodles will be topped with a perfectly soft boiled local egg, Kurobuta pork shoulder and pork belly.
Don't eat meat? No worries, Jason is cooking up a rich vegan stock that will be umami-packed and awesome. The noodles are being shipped to use directly from Sun Noodles - the celebrated Japanese company that makes the best ramen noodles in the states. Every bowl of ramen will be topped with the finest fall veggies we find at the market.
Once again Rob and Keely from Woodland Empire Craft Ale Craft will brew up some special ales just for this event. Not sure exactly what they’ll be for round 3, but past beers were a Brown Rice Asahi, Green Tea Saison, Ginger Berliner Weisse and an Umeboshi Berliner Weisse that Jason said was “the best beer he ever tasted.”
IMPORTANT NOTE FOR OUR VEGAN FRIENDS
If you would like a vegan meal, please let us know in advance by emailing RamenBoise@gmail.com. All stocks are carefully made in advance so we are not able to change your preference the night of the event.
A few things to keep in mind:
- All ticket sales will go through Eventbrite. We did a lot of manual ticket sales last time and it was a nightmare. We're going to harness the power of the Interwebs to take care of this for us.
- Non-alcoholic beverages are available, but the ticket price is the same.
- This event is older kid friendly (18ish) but not young kid friendly.
- Our setting is a series of communal tables. Come prepared to share your space and meet some nice folks.
Tickets go on sale Wednesday, November 30 at 11:30 AM.
Hope to see you there!
- Jason, Rob, Keely, Dave and the entire crew (because it takes a talented bunch of folks to pull this off!)
