The three-day indoor Ramblin Roots Revue music festival returns to High Wycombe for a second year from 6-8 April, in association with Americana label, Clubhouse Records. The bill boasts more than 25 roots, Americana, bluegrass and alt-country acts from the US, UK and Europe including The Magic Numbers ahead of their new album, and a UK debut performance from Norwegian band, Lucky Lips.

The Ramblin’ Roots Revue will run across three stages at Bucks Students' Union's award-winning venue including the EarBelly acoustic stage, new for 2018, which will feature some of the rising stars from the burgeoning folk and roots scene.

Artists from the US such as Jess Klein will be joined by European acts including the Midnight Union Band.

Saturday’s live music will close with a tribute to Tom Petty, courtesy of The Clubhouse All Stars comprising acts playing at the festival along with other special guests. There will also be late night entertainment with DJ sets on both Friday and Saturday.

The confirmed line-up is:

The Magic Numbers // The Rails // Danny and The Champions of The World //Jess Klein // Case Hardin // Robert Vincent // The Redlands Palomino Company // Luke Tuchscherer and the Penny Dreadfuls // Lucky Lips // Polly Paulusma // Orphan Colours // Smith and Brewer // Robert Chaney // Felix Holt and the Radicals // Ags Connolly // The Midnight Union Band // Trevor Moss and Hannah Lou // Loud Mountains // The Savannahs // Carousel // Bennet, Wilson, Poole // The Raving Beauties // Alan Tyler // The Hanging Stars.

Tristan Tipping, head of Clubhouse Records, said: ‘The inaugural festival was a great success, with more than 1,000 people enjoying acts across the broad Americana and country music genres. We’re proud to be back with another quality line-up that reads like a ‘who’s who’ in contemporary Americana. It promises to be a great weekend, whatever the weather, and as well as being indoors you’re guaranteed to always be within a few metres of a stage showcasing fantastic acts, a well-stocked, reasonably-priced bar and good food.’

Weekend tickets, including breakfast on Sunday, are £32.50 with Friday night @ £15, Saturday @ £20 and Sunday @ £8. There are a limited number of early-bird weekend tickets priced at £25.

The Rebellion Beer Company, Ham Hill Cider and independent distillers will provide a range of craft beers, ales, lagers, ciders and a wide selection of whiskies and bourbons throughout the weekend. A variety of food concessions will offer freshly prepared BBQ, smokehouse treats, and Tex-Mex delicacies to suit all tastes.

The festival’s official charity partner is ‘‘Ridin’ the Roots’’, a 600km cycle ride from Lewes to Kilkenny in April to raise funds for Cancer Research UK. The event is in memory of Willie Meighan, the owner of Kilkenny’s legendary Rollercoaster Records, who sadly passed away in November 2017.

Bucks Students’ Union’s fully-accessible venue is a few minutes’ walk from High Wycombe’s mainline rail station and is situated close to a wide variety of hotels in the town centre.
