Ralph Edward Tresvant Sr. (born May 16, 1968), also known as Rizz and Rizzo, is an American singer, songwriter, actor and record producer, best known as the lead singer of the Legendary R&B supergroup New Edition. New Edition is an American R&B group formed in 1978 and is known for the hits "Candy Girl", "Cool It Now", "Mr. Telephone Man", and"Can You Stand the Rain".

Ralph Tresvant embarked on his musical voyage of artistic discovery as a youngster, growing up listening to a variety of musicians and genres that have played an influential role in shaping his signature sound. Not only is Ralph Tresvant the lead singer of the group New Edition, he also released a self-titled debut album in 1990 entitled "Ralph Tresvant" which went platinum spawning the singles "Stone Cold Gentleman" and "Sensitivity" which spent 20 weeks including one week at No. #1 on the U.S. R&B Singles chart and No. #4 on the Pop charts. The album also included the hit single "Do What I Gotta Do."
