Targeted to entrepreneurs planning to raise a first outside round of capital, the workshop will provide guidance on what types of investors to pursue, and how to do it. We'll look at different business stages and models, and how that impacts what investors could be a good fit. In addition, I'll provide suggestions for approaching investors, and preparing for the pitch process. Benefits of attending include:

About the speaker:
Greg Barnes joined Hyde Park Venture Partners in 2014. Prior to HPVP, Greg was the COO of Piece & Co., a social impact startup and graduate of Impact Engine. Before joining Piece & Co., he spent 6 years at Redbox/Coinstar where he initially led the strategy and analytics team for 2 years before leading the new venture development and corporate venture investing functions. Prior to Redbox, Greg held strategy, corporate development, planning, and analytics roles with Culligan International and DiamondCluster. He holds a B.S. in Finance from Miami University.
