Over the last 12 years, ArtCorps has accelerated the process of social change by training organizations and the communities they serve in innovative strategies for education, community engagement and leadership development. Our methodology taps into the power of the arts-based strategies--such as murals, theater, radio and music--to unlock creative potential, transfer critical knowledge and inspire long-term behavior change.
When & Where
Creative Action Institute
Creativity powers people, and people working together power change.
Creative Action Institute (home of ArtCorps) works at the intersection of creativity and social change. We build the capacity of leaders and organizations for innovation, collaboration and resilience to advance conservation, health and human rights globally. We seek an inclusive and just world where individuals, communities and ecosystems flourish.
Our programs serve as the foundation to build grassroots networks, widen scope and deepen impact. We've compiled our best practices gained from a decade in the field into a dynamic, hands-on curriculum that we now offer to educators, advocates and organizations to better realize their missions.
ArtCorps will return to its roots as the community engagement program within CAI - artists directly supporting initiatives in the field with short term, high impact arts based projects.
From sowing trust and motivation among disengaged groups to achieving meaningful dialogue on divisive topics, we empower social change makers and the communities they serve to crack open complex challenges and build a network to pass on the knowledge gained in the field.
Reimagine Social Change.
