Raising Our Voices: The premier ESOL recognition event in MA

About this Event

If you support the needs of newcomers, please join English for New Bostonians at our Raising Our Voices 2019 Breakfast on October 30, 2019 from 8:30 - 10:00 AM (Breakfast and Networking at 8:00 AM) at Northeastern University, East Village 17th Floor, 291 St. Botolph Street, Boston. Our Event Co-Chairs are Phyllis Barajas, Founder & CEO, Conexion and Michael Dunn, Executive VP of Operations, C&W Services.

The event brings together over 200 leaders in the private and public sector to build awareness for these needs and to recognize businesses and labor-management partnerships for their leadership in supporting English classes in the workplace and the community.

Speakers will include Massachusetts Secretary of Labor and Workforce Development, Rosalin Acosta, as well as City of Lawrence Mayor Daniel Rivera. And the program will be emceed by WCVB-Channel 5 Anchor Antoinette Antonio.

The event will feature:

  • Networking and breakfast
  • A cross-sector ESOL policy panel with prestigious business and community leaders
  • Rising Star ESOL Student testimony
  • Certificates & Recognition awards to Businesses, Labor Management Partnerships, Agents of Change and Rising Star Students
