Event description
Join the Asian/Pacific Islander Domestic Violence Resource Project (DVRP) for the launch of our new graphic novel, representing our stories!

About this Event

Please join the Asian/Pacific Islander Domestic Violence Resource Project (DVRP) staff and friends to celebrate the launch of our new photonovel, "Raising Our Voices: Asian/Pacific Islander Stories of Resistance". This photonovel uses representation of the A/PI community and highlights their experiences of violence, something not often talked about. From marital rape, to immigration abuse, we hope this photonovel can be spread throughout the community and used as a tool for education and outreach.

Attendees will get free copies of the photonovel (available in English, Chinese, Japanese, Vietnamese & Urdu), and will be encouraged to explore its contents, speak to its creators and learn how it can impact the community around them

This event will feature hands-on activities to help show just how many ways this photonovel can be used in the community!
