Event description

Description

Please join us for a necessary and courageous conversation about the pressures on our children today and the very real connection between that pressure and substance abuse among youth in Marin County.

The evening will include an informative and practical presentation from a panel of teens and experts on the topic of stress and pressure and their relationship with substance use:

Jennifer Grellman, therapist and founder of Being Adept;
Jennifer Kenny-Baum, Tamalpais Union High School District Wellness Center;
Scott McKenna, a juvenile detective and school resource officer from the Central Marin Police Authority; and
Two local teens with experience around these topics.

The panelists will present on and answer questions about the pressures on our students, the possible consequences of these pressures, why we need to address this topic in middle school, how to talk to our children about it, and strategies for tackling it.
