SAFB 6th Annual Nutrition Summit: Raising Healthy Eaters in Food-Insecure Communities

About this Event

The San Antonio Food Bank (SAFB) has been organizing an annual nutrition summit for the last six years, the title of this year Summit is Raising Healthy Eaters in Food Insecure Communities and will take place on Wednesday March 11th.

The goal of the summit this year is to bring to the table healthcare and education professionals to discuss the impact of Food Insecurity as the barrier to the healthy development of children and as a determinant in the early onset of chronic diseases such as obesity, diabetes type 2 and hypertension. The event will feature perspectives from an array of experts discussing health equity for children and the opportunities to improve wellness through education.
