RAISING HAPPY & SUCCESSFUL KIDS: Parenting Tips for Our Global Culture
Sat, May 6, 2017, 1:30 PM – 5:30 PM CDT
Looking for ways to help your kids grow up happy and independent in today's culture? Join us for an afternoon of ideas. Take home tools for connecting with your kids, managing stress, and helping kids succeed in school and relationships!
In our community today, many children live in abundance; having all that they need, and much of what they want. Yet, in many respects today’s kids face huge challenges to their happiness and fulfillment. To name a few, the expansive opportunities of the online world, the emphasis on academic outcomes which overshadows the fun of learning, and the social pressures that are more pervasive and intense than ever. Our fast-changing world makes it challenging to proactively parent. How do we apply proven techniques in this fast-changing culture?
Dr. Amanda will share ways to manage stress and communicate with kids. Coach Sara will give tools for showing empathy and connecting with kids at their level. And Coach Jenni will talk about success in school and supportive community resources.
We'll have plenty of time for Q&A interaction. We hope to see you there!
