Full-Scale Exercise relating to HazMat involving key response agencies and partners along the Rainy River near International Falls, MN

About this event

This Full-Scale Exercise is a culmination of several years of planning, training, meetings, drills, and discussion and operations-based exercises revolving around a hazardous materials spill on the Rainy River near the cities of Ranier, International Falls, and Fort Frances. It will involve over 25 separate agencies and departments ranging from local departments, to state and federal agencies; working in concert to respond to a simulated train derailment and subsequent hazardous materials spill and associated victims and issues.

The exercise is expected to take most of the day on Thursday, August 26th beginning around 8:30 or 9 and should wrap up around 4pm.
