Description

Rail Alignment and Benefits (RAB) Study* Public Meeting

The Rail Alignment and Benefits Study (RAB) is a multi-agency program studying transportation and land use alternatives in the most rapidly growing areas of the City.

To coordinate and support efforts of Caltrans, Caltrain, High Speed Rail, the Transbay Joint Powers Authority, the RAB Study includes 5 components:

1. Rail Alignment into the Salesforce Transit Center (SFTC)

2. Railyard Reconfiguration/Relocation

3. Urban and Land Use Considerations

4. Transit Center (SFTC) Extension/Loop

5. Boulevard I-280

The public meeting will summarize the findings from the RAB study, including a preliminary preferred alignment for Caltrain and High Speed Rail: the Pennsylvania Avenue Underground Extension. Community members are invited to provide input on the alignment, adjacent land use opportunities, and next steps.

For more information on the RAB, visit San Francisco Planning’s website.
