About this Event

Cyber Literacy builds strong cyber foundations by introducing the opportunities, threats, responsibilities, and legal constraints associated with operating in cyberspace. Participants will explore technical concepts related to robotics, networking, and security, while making connections to ethical issues that arise in the digital world. Teachers will learn to program a Shield-Bot with Arduino and to incorporate new cyber-related projects and strategies into their classroom.

Cyber Literacy 1: October 9-10

Cyber Literacy 2: October 11 (pre-requisite: basic familiarity with Cyber Literacy 1 content and/or C+ programming languages)

This set of workshops will be held at Davis Hall on Radford University's campus. Workshops will be led by subject matter experts from the National Integrated Cyber Education Research Center. Participants should bring their own laptop or Chromebook. All teachers in U.S. K-12 schools will receive access to free online curriculum materials!
